Meet the Face Behind The Luxury Japan

Daisuke Sasaki

A seasoned traveler and luxury aficionado, Daisuke has a strong appetite for discovering luxury experiences that don’t demand a fortune. With a rich background in fostering relationships with the crème de la crème of luxury hotels globally, Daisuke now channels that expertise into showcasing Japan’s accessible luxury.

The creator behind The Luxury Japan, Daisuke Sasaki, always had an affinity for travel and luxury. Having traversed the continents, from the historical alleyways of Paris, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Frankfurt, and many other cities in Europe to the sprawling landscapes of the US and the bustling hubs of Asia, Daisuke’s journey was enriched by professional liaisons with some of the world’s top luxury hotels like Fairmont, Marriott, Shangri-La, and Ascott.

It’s this vast global experience that brings a unique twist to understanding luxury in its many forms. However, it was during the Covid era, amid the world’s paused hustle and bustle, that Daisuke truly delved into the heart of Japan. With the Japanese government’s initiative to support the hospitality industry, Daisuke found himself traveling almost every other month, exploring pockets of luxury that are both opulent and yet attainably priced in Japan.

Today, The Luxury Japan stands as a testament to these adventures, a guide for those who dream of indulging in Japan’s luxurious offerings without the hefty price tag. Our stories and blog posts span from the bustling metropolis of Tokyo to the ryokans in Kyoto, showcasing the blend of traditional opulence and modern-day affordability.
